The main results are: (1) To each bounded upper semi-continuous real-valued function f, defined on a closed interval I, there corresponds a bounded Darboux upper semi- continuous function g, also defined on I, which differs from f on a first category subset of I having Lebesgue measure zero. (2) If f and g are two Darboux upper semi-continuous functions defined on a closed interval I and \(f<g\) on I, there exists a Darboux upper semi- continuous function h defined on I such that \(f<h<g\) on I.
