    If \(h_ 1\), \(h_ 2\) is a pair of self-adjoint operators on a Hilbert space \({\mathcal H}\), then a wave operator will be defined by \[ \omega^{\pm}(h_ 2,h_ 1):=s-\lim_{t\to \pm \infty}\exp (ith_ 2)\exp (-ith_ 1)P_{1,ac}, \] where \(P_{1,ac}\) is the ortho- projective operator from \({\mathcal H}\) to \({\mathcal H}\), (the absolute continuous subspace of \({\mathcal H})\). To substitute the perturbed semigroup \(\exp (-\tau h_ 2)\) for the unitary group \(\exp (ith_ 2)\), the author proves that \(\omega^{\pm}(h_ 2,h_ 1)\) is the closure of the isometric operator: \(\tilde F(h_ 1)\phi \to \phi_ F^{\pm}\), where \[ \phi_ F^{\pm}= s-\lim_{t\to \pm \infty} \check F_ t^{\pm}(h_ 2)\exp (-ith_ 1)\phi,\quad \phi \in {\mathcal H} \] \[ \check F_ t^{\pm}(h_ 2)=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2\pi i}}\int^{\infty}_{0}\exp (-\tau h_ 2)F(t-i\tau)d\tau, \] \(\tilde F(\lambda)\) is the Fourier transform of F(\(\lambda)\), F(\(\lambda)\) satisfies \[ \int_{\Gamma^+_ t}\exp (i\lambda z)F(z)dz=0,\quad \lambda \geq 0, \] \(\Gamma^+_ t\) is the boundary of a sector with vertex \(t\in R'\) and angle \(\pi\leq \arg z=3\pi /2.\) This work can be applied to scattering theory.
