Random region function and its applications (Q1085519)

This paper is mainly based on the author's paper ''Region function'', ibid. 7, 189-196 (1986) and on the work of some other authors. It applies the random fixed point theory established by them to any nonempty random region. Thereby, the random region, the random region function, the random stable centre of a random region and the random stable point theory of a random region function defined over such a random region are established. The random region theory defined by this paper for the random geometrical theory and random set theory is an important contribution. Some complicated and open questions in random geometry and the theory of random sets are easily solved by random region theory. Thereby, the random differential and integral theory for the classical random points function are largely extended.
