Stress distribution around two equal circular elastic inclusions in an infinite elastic plate subjected to a centre of pressure radiating from a point midway between them (Q1085656)

This paper contains an exact two dimensional solution in series form for the stresses and displacements around two circular elastic inclusions perfectly bonded to an infinite elastic plate. The plate is under a centre of pressure radiating from a point midway between the inclusions. Two solutions, one regular for the domain exterior to the inclusions and the other regular inside the inclusions, are obtained in bipolar coordinates. Numerical results are obtained in a particular case, and graphs, of stresses and displacements around the circular inclusions, are drawn.
