An integral domain \(R\) is called almost factorial Krull domain if it is a Krull domain with torsion divisor class group. In this well written paper the authors continue the study of domains \(R\) which are ``locally'' almost factorial Krull domains \((=\) locally almost factorial domains), i.e. \(R[1/f]\) is an almost factorial Krull domain for any nonzero nonunit \(f\) in \(R\). They investigate at first some nontrivial examples of such domains (mostly using Claborn's realization theorem) and then they prove some properties of divisor class group of such domains. They partially answer which finite rank abelian groups \(G\) can be realized as the divisor class groups of such domains (for example, if \(G\) is finitely generated). Further the authors characterize using properties of divisor class groups Krull (Dedekind) domains with a property that each proper subintersection (overring) of \(R\) is an almost factorial Krull (Dedekind) domain. Finally they characterize Krull domains with finite rank divisor class group and investigate some conditions equivalent to \(\mathrm{Cl}(R)/\mathrm{Pic}(R)=0\) for a Krull domain \(R\).
