Consider pseudo-differential operators (Ps.D.O.) with symbols \(\sigma (x,\xi)\in S^ m_{\rho,\delta}:\) the notations are of Hörmanders'. That is, consider operators T given by \[ Tf(x)=\int_{R^ n}e^{i(\kappa,\xi)}\sigma (x,\xi)\hat f(\xi)d\xi, \] where f is a Schwartz function and \(\hat f\) denotes the Fourier transform of f. We set \[ M_ pf(x)=\sup_{x\in \Omega} (\frac{1}{| Q|}\int_{Q} | f(y)|^ p dy)^{1/p}, \] where Q is a cube with sides parallel to the coordinate axes. This is the generalized Hardy-Littlewood maximal function of f. We need also the sharp maximal function f{\#} of f which is given by \[ f\#(x)=\sup_{x\in \Omega} \frac{1}{| Q|}\int_{Q} | f(y)-f_ Q| dy,\text{ where } f_ Q=\frac{1}{| Q|}\int_{Q}f(Q)dy. \] First we obtain Theorem. Let \(0<a<1\), and \(\sigma (x,\xi)\in S_{1,0}^{-na/2}\) Consider the Ps.D.O. \[ Tf(x)=\int_{R^ n}e^{i((x,\xi)+| \xi |^ a)}\sigma (x,\xi)\hat f(\xi)d\xi. \] Then for \(1<r<\infty\) and \(f\in C_ 0^{\infty}(R^ n)\) (Tf){\#}(x)\(\leq c_ rM_ rf(x).\) Let \(\| f\|_{p,w}=(\int_{R^ n} | f(x)|^ pw(x)dx)^{1/p}\) and we say that \(w\in A_ p\) if \[ \sup_{Q}(\frac{1}{| Q|}\int_{Q}w(x)dx(\frac{1}{| Q|}\int_{Q}w(x)^{-1/(p-1)}dx)^{p-1}\leq c, \] and \(A_{\infty}=\cup_{p\geq 1}A_ p\). Then we have the following inequalities: 1) Let Tf be a Ps.D.O. with symbol \(\sigma(x,\xi)\in S_{1-a}^{- na/2}\), \(\delta <1-a,0<a<1.\) (a) Let \(w\in A_{\infty}\), then, for \(0<p<\infty\) and \(f\in C_ 0^{\infty}(R^ n)\), \(\| Tf\|_{p,w}\leq c_ p\| M_ 2f\|_{p,w}.\) 2) Let Tf be a Ps.D.O. with symbol \(e^{i(x,\xi)}\sigma (x,\xi)\), \(\sigma (x,\xi)\in S_{1,0}^{-na/2}\) and \(0<a<1\). (b) Let \(w\in A_ p\), then, for \(1<p<\infty\), \(\| Tf\|_{p,w}\leq c_ p\| f\|_{p,w}.\) These results are an extension of those by the first author, for the case \(\sigma (x,\xi)=e^{i| \xi |^ a}\theta (\xi)| \xi |^{-na/2}\) [see Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 281, 77-107 (1984; Zbl 0531.42005)].
