The disturbance due to a line source in a homogeneous transversely isotropic thermoelastic halfspace with thermal relaxations has been investigated using a combination of Fourier and Laplace transform techniques. The integrals have been inverted by inspection with the help of Cagniard's method. Exact closed algebraic expressions for the displacements and temperature as functions of time and horizontal distances, valid for all epicentral distances, have been obtained.
