    We present the sufficient conditions for a regular embedding \(\phi: X\to {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) (where \(X\subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) is an algebraic set) to have an extension \(\Phi \in Iso({\mathbb{C}}^ n) :=\{f: {\mathbb{C}}^ n\to {\mathbb{C}}^ n;f\) is regular isomorphism of \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\}.\) In particular we prove Theorem 1. Let \(\phi: {\mathbb{C}}^ K\times 0\to {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) be an embedding and \(n\geq 3k+1\). There exists \(\Phi \in Iso({\mathbb{C}}^ n)\) such that \(res_{{\mathbb{C}}^ k\times 0}\Phi =\phi.\) Theorem 2. Let \(X\in {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) be an algebraic smooth set of dimension k. Let \(\phi: X\to {\mathbb{C}}^ n\) be an embedding. If \(n\geq 4k+2\) then there exists \(\Phi \in\text{Iso}({\mathbb{C}}^ n)\) such that \(\text{res}_ X\Phi =\phi.\) From our theorem 1 it follows that all three conjectures posed by \textit{S. S. Abhyankar} in Proc. int. Symp. on algebraic geometry, Kyoto 1977, 249-414 (1977; Zbl 0408.14010) are false (at least for \(n\geq 3)\).
