For Helmholtz one-dimensional equations, the W.K.B. approximate solution can be used as the first term of a convergent series (the ''Bremmer series'') representing the solution. The procedure can be also formally applied for higher dimensions. In this paper, the author shows for two-dimensional Helmholtz equations, that the convergence of the series is related to that of a Neumann series which will converge himself if the spectral radius of some integral operator is less than 1. The author then shows examples for which this stability condition is not satisfied.
