Weighted function spaces with anisotropic weight distribution (Q1089523)

\textit{V. A. Kondrat'ev} and \textit{O. A. Oleinik} [Usp. Mat. Nauk. 38, No. 2(230), 3--76 (1983; Zbl 0523.35010)], studied various elliptic boundary problems in domains having conical, or corner points. They used some function spaces, with weighted norm, in which the weight is distributed anisotropically. These spaces were introduced by the first author [Sib. Mat. Zh. 22, No. 4, 142--163 (1981; Zbl 0479.35032)] and by \textit{L. A. Bagirov} and \textit{V. A. Kondrat'ev} [Partial differential equations. Tr. Semin. S. L. Sobolev 1978, No. 2, 5--16 (1978; Zbl 0423.35080)]. Here, the authors get some new spaces of functions, with weighted anisotropic norm, which arise in the investigation on the plane with semiinfinite slit, of the Dirichlet problem for the operator \(\Delta^ 2-\partial \Delta /\partial x_ 1\). The authors prove that the spaces introduced differ from the previous ones.
