Zindler curves in the Euclidean plane \({\mathbb{R}}^ 2\) are closed curves with a one-parametric set of congruent ''main chords'' which bisect both the length and the enclosed area of the curve. Related curves \(z\subset {\mathbb{R}}^ n\) have been studied by \textit{J. Hoschek} [Manuscr. Math. 13, 175-185 (1974; Zbl 0287.53003) and Math. Balk. 4, 253-260 (1974; Zbl 0305.53002)] in the case \(n=3\) and by \textit{B. Wegner} [Math. Balk. 6, 298- 306 (1976; Zbl 0415.53001)] for arbitrary \(n\geq 2\). In this paper a more general class of Zindler curves in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) is discussed. These Zindler curves can be generated simply since the midpoints of the main chords are situated on the striction curve of the main chord surface.
