The distribution of products, quotients, and powers of two dependent H- function variates (Q1089701)

This paper deals with a general bivariate density, of two positive real random variables, defined in terms of an H-function of two variables. The distributions of products and ratios are also studied. Several interesting special cases of bivariate densities, which can be expressed as H-functions of two variables, are given. Special cases are studied by specializing the parameters and then identifying with the help of their Mellin transforms. Mellin transform techniques are also used for getting the general results on products and ratios.
