The determination of periodic edge waves along a straight beach is formulated as a 2-dimensional eigenvalue problem for a generalized wedge. The aims of the paper are: (1) to study the use of a boundary collocation method for computing the lower discrete eigenvalues; (2) to investigate the role of the wedge angle as a dominant parameter. Numerical examples are described.
