Let us consider in \(Q=\Omega \times (-T,0)\) \((\subset {\mathbb{R}}^{n+1})\) the second order nonlinear parabolic system \[ (1)\quad - \sum^{n}_{i=1}D_ ia^ i(X,u,Du)+\partial u/\partial t = B^ 0(X,u,Du) \] where \(X=(x,t)\), Du is the spatial gradient of \(u: Q\to {\mathbb{R}}^ N\), N integer \(>1\), \(a^ i(X,u,p)\), \(p\in {\mathbb{R}}^{nN}\), and \(B^ 0(X,u,p)\) are vectors of \({\mathbb{R}}^ N\) verifying the conditions: (2) \(a^ i(X,u,p)\in C^ 1(\bar Q\times {\mathbb{R}}^ N\times {\mathbb{R}}^{nN});\) (3) the vectors \(\partial a^ i/\partial p^ j_ k\) are uniformly continuous in \(\bar Q\times {\mathbb{R}}^ N\times {\mathbb{R}}^{nN}\) and \(\forall (X,u,p)\in \bar Q\times {\mathbb{R}}^ N\times {\mathbb{R}}^{nN}\) there results \(\sum^{N}_{K=1}\sum^{n}_{j=1}\| \partial a^ i/\partial p^ j_ k\| \leq M\); moreover it is assumed that the following natural growths hold \[ (4)\quad \| a^ i\| +\sum^{n}_{s=1}\| \partial a^ i/\partial x_ s\| +\sum^{N}_{k=1}\| \partial a^ i/\partial u_ k\| \leq M(1+\sum^{n}_{j=1}\| p^ j\|), \] \[ \| B^ 0(X,u,p)\| \leq g^ 0(X)+M\sum^{n}_{j=1}\| p^ j\|^ 2, \] \(\forall (X,u,p)\in \bar Q\times {\mathbb{R}}^ N\times {\mathbb{R}}^{nN},\) \(g^ 0\in L^ p(Q)\), \(p>n+2.\) It is proved the following partial Hölder continuity result: Theorem: Let \(u\in L^ 2(-T,0,H^ 2(\Omega,{\mathbb{R}}^ N))\cap H^ 1(- T,0,L^ 2(\Omega,{\mathbb{R}}^ N))\cap C^{0,\gamma}(\bar Q,{\mathbb{R}}^ N)\), \(0<\gamma <1\), be a weak solution of the system (1). Let conditions (2)-(4) be fulfilled. Then there exists a set \(Q_ 0\subset Q\), closed in Q, with measure equal to zero, such that \(D_ iu\in C^{0,\mu}(Q\setminus Q_ 0,{\mathbb{R}}^ N)\), \(\forall \mu <1-n+2/p\).
