Let X be a Peano continuum and denote by exp X (resp. \(\exp^ pX)\) the space of all subcontinua (resp. Peano subcontinua) with Hausdorff metric. It is a classical result of \textit{M. Wojdyslawski} [Fundam. Math. 32, 184-192 (1939; Zbl 0021.31601)] that exp X is an AR. The author shows that \(\exp^ pX\) is also an AR. As an immediate corollary, he obtains a theorem of \textit{V. V. Fedorchuk} [Usp. Mat. Nauk 37, No. 4(226), 187-188 (1982; Zbl 0519.54005)] to the effect that every Peano continuum is a Peano-valued AR.
