Application of Chien's theorem to general variational principles in finite elasticity with body couple (Q1091173)

An important theorem proved by \textit{W. Z. Chien} [Variational methods and finite elements (Chinese) (1980)] states the equivalence of the functionals in general variational principles of potential energy and complementary energy. The stated theorem is applied on the formulation of general variational principles in finite elasticity with body couple (polar elasticity).
