For simple variable precision logic, censored production rules (cpr) are employed as mechanisms (if A then B unless C). C may be ignored if resources are tight. A censored rule is defined more quantitative by means of a priori certainty of an implication when the exception condition is unknown, and when the exception condition is known to be false, respectively. The extended logic with unless-operator enables a system to exhibit variable precision in which certainty varies. In the paper, logical and expositional aspects of unless-conditions are treated; cpr may have more than one exception. Thus, such rules facilitate small rule repairs.
