The flow of blood in a cylindrical rigid artery, the wall of which contains a stenosis of small cosine shaped amplitude is considered. The blood is assumed to be a Newtonian fluid with velocity and pressure that have axial symmetry and are independent of the axial coordinate. A solution of the basic equations when there is a time harmonic input to the system is obtained and numerical results are presented in graphical form.
