In this paper, an interconnected population process, consisting of two colonies is studied, when the emigration or migration of families take place. Here, the immigration relates to the individual. Expressions are obtained for expected population size and variance of the total population size in each colony. The case, when the size of a family is subject to birth and death mechanism is also examined.
