This paper is a sequel to part I [cf. the preceding review (Zbl 0627.53062)]. It describes again the differential geometric framework for B.R.S. transformations and anomalies in gauge theory, but this time the principal bundle is assumed to have a matrix-group as structure group. So the gauge group \({\mathcal G}\) can now easily be described as an infinite dimensional Lie group (equivariant mappings from the total space into the matrix group). The complex whose first cohomology houses the anomalies, is now identified as a complex of left-invariant differential forms on the gauge group with values in matrix values differential forms on the total space of the principal bundle. The ``B.R.S.''-relations are once more derived in this setting.
