Interval and circle mappings, which are topologically simply constructed, are investigated in the paper. These mappings have discrete fixed point sets, which all trajectories approach. The number of fixed points is the unique topological invariant of such diffeomorphisms, and the differentials in them - invariant of the smooth conjugacy. It appears that outside these invariants there is a further smooth functional invariant, which represents to a linear equivalence a cocycle related to the given diffeomorphism with a linear contraction and expansion. In term of this cocycle, it is easy to formulate properties of the diffeomorphism as inclusion into a smooth flow, possibility of increasing the smoothness with conjugation and so on.
