The author continues here the thorough analysis of the anisotropic Kepler problem started by her and \textit{J. Llibre} [Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 312 (1984; Zbl 0546.70021)]. This is a one parameter family of Hamiltonian systems with 2 degrees of freedom which models the quantum mechanical description of the bound states of an electron near a donor impurity of a semiconductor. These are among the simplest 2 degrees of freedom non integrable systems with chaotic behavior. For fixed negative energy the motion is bounded and energy levels are solid tori. A blow up transformation of coordinates extends the flow to the boundary of the solid tori as invariant manifolds with 8 hyperbolic equilibrium points in each. The restriction on the values of the parameter \(\mu\) guaranties the existence of spiraling invariant submanifolds for the flow on each energy level, which intersect each other. By considering new surfaces of section corresponding to crossing of the orbits with the vertical axis in the configuration plane, she refines the previous combinatorial description (in the above mentioned work) of the order of crossings and existence for orbits corresponding to a prescribed quasi random behavior. The main technique applied consists roughly in keeping track of the successive crossings of the invariant submanifolds with the different surfaces of section, analyzing the two dimensional regions as well as the heteroclinic orbits they define.
