Let K be a complete ultrametric algebraically closed field, and D a bounded closed set in K. D is said to be strongly infraconnected if for every open disc of \(centre\quad a,\quad radius\quad r\) with \(r\in | k|\), there is a sequence \(a_ n\) in D such that \(| a_ n-a| =| a_ n-a_ m|\) for every \(n\neq m\). H(D) denotes the Banach algebra of analytic elements in D, where D is a bounded closed strongly infraconnected set in T with no T-filters [the definition of T-filters is too long and technical to be described here; see the author, Ann. Inst. Fourier 25, No.2, 45-80 (1975; Zbl 0302.43012)]. Let r', r'' be functions from D to R with bounds a, b such that \(0<a\leq r'(x)<r''(x)\leq b\). Let (D,r',r'') be the Banach algebra of the Laurent series with coefficient \(a_ s\) in H(D) such that \[ \lim_{| s| \to +\infty}\{\sup_{x\in D}| a_ s(x)|;\quad \max (r'(x)^ s,r''(x)^ s)\}=0, \] provided with a suitable norm. It is shown that certain elements of (D,r',r'') have Hensel factorization. The author also points out that the hypothesis that D has no T-filter cannot be avoided. A mistake that occurred in an earlier paper of the author on the Hensel factorization for Taylor series is corrected in this paper.
