The paper under review is a direct continuation of the author's preceding one [ibid. 11, 227-232 (1977; Zbl 0368.18008)] where particularly the following statements were proved: (i) Let \(H^ 2(P,T)\) be the second cohomology group of the given point group P over T where P is embedded in GL(n,Z), and P acts on n-dimensional lattice T. We define the orbits in \(H^ 2(P,T)\) under the action of the normalizer \(N_{GL(n,Z)}(P)\). Then if a generator p of P possesses at most one eigenvalue \(+1\) in the matrix representation, the group \(H^ 2(P,T)\) is cyclic and all its orbits are minimal. (ii) If \(P\cong Z_ r\) and \(H^ 2(P,T)\cong Z^ s_ r\) with \(s>1\), then all orbits are maximal, i.e., each orbit is obtained under the action of Aut \(H^ 2(P,T).\) As well known, the orbits of \(H^ 2(P,T)\) are in one-to-one correspondence with classes of isomorphisms of the space groups which are the extension of the group \(Z^ n\) by P. The author gives the description of the class of cyclic n-dimensional point groups \(P\cong H^ 2(P,T)\) for which the orbits of \(H^ 2(P,T)\) are maximal, and applies it to the crystallographic groups generated by permutations.
