Modal control of multivariable systems with delays under incomplete information (Q1095858)

The paper is concerned with the problem of feedback control of multivariable systems whose state variables satisfy linear differential- difference equations with state and control delays, and also the output equation has delays. The controller to be constructed is a linear differential-difference equation which connects the output of the plant to its input. The modal control problem is posed as the problem of adjusting the coefficients of the characteristic quasipolynomial of the closed-loop system. Sufficient conditions are derived for modal controllability by a dynamic controller, and a procedure of constructing this controller is described. Numerical examples are included.
