    The author gives conditions on a family of measures \(\{\mu_ r:\) \(0<r<1\}\) on the unit circle and a measure \(\nu\) on the unit interval so that for all functions, \(f(re^{i\theta})\), which are analytic on the unit disk and for some C independent of f \[ [\int^{1}_{0}[\int^{2\pi}_{0}| f|^ p d\theta]^{q/p}(1-r)^{\alpha q-1} dr]^{1/q}\leq C[\int^{1}_{0}[\int^{2\pi}_{0}| f|^ p d\mu_ r(\theta)]^{q/p} d\nu (r)]^{1/q}. \] Limiting cases, including the Hardy spaces \((q=\infty\), \(\alpha =0)\), are allowed. The precise results are rather technical. One of the basic ideas is that the \(\mu_ r\) must not be allowed to concentrate near certain types of small sets. A number of detailed examples are included. This extends the author's previous work [Pac. J. Math. 110, 145-160 (1984; Zbl 0477.32026) and Am. J. Math. 107, 85-111 (1985; Zbl 0584.46042)] and in the case of the Bergman space \((p=q=1/\alpha)\) improves his earlier results.
