The aim of the paper is the study of the best linear methods of approximation of some classes of smooth periodic functions of several variables by other classes of smooth functions. The paper generalizes some results of \textit{B. E. Klots} [ibid. 18, 97--108 (1975; Zbl 0329.41023)].
