With the use of some additional set-theoretic assumptions it is shown that normality, countable compactness, Lindelöfness, tightness, Souslin property and Fréchet-Urysohn property are not preserved taking the square of topological groups. So far there are no analogous ``absolute'' examples of topological groups.
