The performance of Chebyshev spectral methods for solving nonlinear two- point boundary value problems is tested on several such problems arising in heat transfer. The collocation and the Galerkin spectral formulations are examined in detail and their various computational aspects compared. The accuracy of these methods is measured against the solutions of the problems examined in this study obtained in the literature using standard software packages.
