Various features of divisible modules over valuation domains are discussed, completing the results of earlier work on divisible modules. It is noted that the classical result on divisible modules over discrete rank one valuation domains carries over to divisible modules of projective dimension 1 over any valuation domain R with p.d.Q=1 (Q = field of quotients of R); cf. theorem 1. Primarily, divisible modules of projective dimension 1 will be studied. Then attention is paid on superdecomposable divisible modules (i.e. no indecomposable summands \(\neq 0)\). Superdecomposable torsionfree abelian groups and modules over Dedekind domains have been constructed by \textit{A. L. S. Corner} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 13, 687-710 (1963; Zbl 0116.024)], \textit{K. Benabdallah} and \textit{A. Birtz} [Can. Math. Bull. 24, 213-218 (1981; Zbl 0463.20038)], \textit{K. Meinel} [Arch. Math. 39, 11-18 (1982; Zbl 0494.16011)], and by \textit{M. Dugas} and \textit{D. Göbel} [Math. Z. 181, 451-470 (1982; Zbl 0501.16031)]. Furthermore the fully invariant submodules of divisible modules of projective dimension 1 are discussed. A complete classification can be given, with a description of their structure. Finally the center of the endomorphism ring of torsion divisible modules D with projective dimension \(D=1\) is characterized.
