The author pursues some consequences of one of the main results of himself and \textit{R. B. Warfield} [Symmetry and localization in Noetherian prime P.I. rings (to appear in J. Algebra)], which gave a criterion for the Ore localizability of a prime ideal P of a prime Noetherian P.I. ring R, in terms of the primes of the trace ring T(R) which lie over P. In particular, two other conditions, couched in terms of the coefficients of the Cayley-Hamilton polynomials of the elements of P, and each equivalent to the localizability of P, are obtained. Using these, it is shown that if M is a maximal ideal of a prime Noetherian affine P.I. ring R, and the image of M in every l-dimensional prime factor ring of R is localizable, then M is localizable in R. An example is given to show that the affine hypothesis is needed here.
