The singularly perturbed boundary value problem is considered \((*)\quad \epsilon u''+a(x)u'-b(x)u=f(x);\) \(u(0)=\beta_ 0,\quad u(1)=\beta_ 1;\quad a(x)>0;\quad b(x)\geq 0.\) An incompletely exponentially fitted difference scheme for (*) is derived from the exponentially fitted scheme for the equation corresponding to (*) with b(x)\(\equiv 0\). Sufficient conditions for the uniform convergence of the scheme are given. The results of numerical experiments are quoted.
