The authors derived the rheological equations of state for polymer melts in Part I [ibid. 18, 163-172 (1985; Zbl 0578.76010)]. These equations are used to investigate the steady and unsteady shear and uniaxial elongation flows of monodisperse polymers. The analysis of these flows is aimed at the study of the effect of superslow relaxation process. It is shown that the relaxation times in linear and nonlinear viscoelastic regions are self-consistent. Theoretical predictions are found to be in agreement with the experimental data for the narrow MWD linear polymer.
