The author studies the empirical measure of a large exchangeable system of particles in a Polish space, distributed according to a Gibbs measure. This corresponds to a mean field interaction in statistical mechanics. He proves a large deviation result and laws of large numbers. The assumptions are rather weak and include unbounded Hamiltonians as the ferromagnetic Curie-Weiss models and, except the strong law of large numbers, the case of phase coexistence. Furthermore, the convergence is stronger than the usual weak one of measures and applies to unbounded test functions such as the mean internal energy and certain moments.
