The paper presents an analysis procedure which studies the robustness of large-scale discrete-time systems with respect to stability. The suggested approach is not crucially dependent on any particular method for decentralized system design. The stability robustness criteria developed in this paper are readily applicable to practical situations in which a designer has estimates of the bounds on perturbations. The methodology can be effectively used in making a comparative assessment of different control strategies in terms of how well they operate in the presence of modeling errors and perturbations which exist in a real life environment. A fourth-order mathematical example is used to illustrate the suggested time-domain stability robustness measures.
