The author continues his study of the asymptotic properties of orthogonal polynomials from their recurrence relations. Asymptotics are derived for the ratio of orthogonal polynomials and the zero distribution is discussed. The results of the paper are then applied to orthogonal polynomials related to elliptic functions. The text includes a useful reference list on orthogonal polynomials.
