Let k be a field of characteristic zero, V a finite dimensional vector space over k and \(\delta\) : \(V\times V\to k\) an alternating bilinear form. Set \(V^{\delta}=\{v\in V:\delta (v,V)=0\}\). Let \(\Gamma\) be a finitely generated subgroup of \(Hom_ k(V,k)\) such that for all \(0\neq v\in V^{\delta}\) there exists \(\gamma\in \Gamma\) with \(\gamma\) (v)\(\neq 0\). Let \(S_{\delta}(V)\) denote the \(\delta\)-symmetric algebra of V, namely the k-algebra generated by V subject to the relations \(vw- wv=\delta (v,w)\) for all v,w\(\in V\). To each \(\gamma\in \Gamma\) there corresponds an automorphism \(\theta_{\gamma}\) of \(S_{\delta}(V)\) defined by \(v\mapsto v-\gamma (v)\). Let \(G=\{\theta_{\gamma}:\gamma\in \Gamma \}\). Then the author defines the algebra \({\mathcal A}(V,\delta,\Gamma)\) to be the skew group ring \(S_{\delta}(V)\#G\). The author considered these algebras in two earlier papers [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér., IV. Sér. 8, 157-178 (1975; Zbl 0323.17006); J. Algebra 44, 262-270 (1977; Zbl 0391.17005)]. In the first of these papers he conjectured that two such algebras \({\mathcal A}(V,\delta,\Gamma)\) and \({\mathcal A}(W,\epsilon,\Omega)\) are isomorphic if and only if there is an isomorphism between the ``triples'' (V,\(\delta\),\(\Gamma)\) and (W,\(\epsilon\),\(\Omega)\), and some partial results were obtained. In the present paper, the proof of the conjecture is completed. Specifically, it is proved that if \({\mathcal A}(V,\delta,\Gamma)\cong {\mathcal A}(W,\epsilon,\Omega)\) then there is an isomorphism \(\psi\) such that \(\psi (V)=W\) and \(\psi\) respects the alternating forms and the groups of linear forms. The author indicates how the algebras \({\mathcal A}(V,\delta,\Gamma)\) arise in the representation theory of solvable Lie algebras, and some connections with the Weyl algebras.
