An extension of the q-Saalschützian theorem (Q1103079)

Making use of a certain q-series identity, the author proves a finite summation formula for a terminating hypergeometric \({}_ 3\Phi _ 2\) series which, under a special case, yields the familiar q-Saalschütz's theorem. He also applies this summation formula to derive a reduction formula for a double q-series.
