A mixture of \(\nu\) ideal gases (quantum as well as classical) is treated by methods of Extended Thermodynamics as 13\(\nu\)-field theory: \(\nu\) fields of partial mass densities, \(3\nu\) fields of partial mass velocities, \(3\nu\) fields of partial heat flux densities, and \(6\nu\) of partial pressure tensors. Starting out with the partial balance equations for mass, momentum, momentum flux density, and energy flux density in moving systems the dissipation inequality is exploited by Liu's method. This procedure yields expressions for the partial derivatives of the entropy density and the entropy flux density to the state variables. Constitutive equations are written down as linear ansatzes by use of representation theorems. Considering equilibrium Gibbs equation is rediscovered. By tracing out balance equations Rational Thermodynamics of the \(5\nu\)-field theory of mixtures is achieved which is compared with linear irreversible thermodynamics. Conditions are derived for Onsager's reciprocal relations being valid also in systems containing axial fields.
