      Consider a piecewise linear continuous map f: [0,1]\(\to [0,1]\) such that the slopes \(m_ i\), \(i=1,...,n\), satisfy the condition that \(m_ i\in \{\pm m\quad j\}^{\infty}_{j=0},\) \(m\in N\), \(| m| >1\). Let \[ \theta_ N=\{a/bp N,\quad (a,p)=1,\quad p\text{ is a prime, }a/bp N\in [0,1]\},\quad N\geq 1. \] The main result states that if \((p,m)=1\), then all points in \(\theta_ N\) are eventually periodic under f and furthermore, the number of periodic orbits in \(\theta_ N\) is bounded and independent of N.
