Regular polytopes from twisted Coxeter groups (Q1103871)

The paper discusses a general method for constructing regular incidence- polytopes from certain group actions (twisting operations) on Coxeter groups and quotients of Coxeter groups. In particular, the incidence- polytopes \({\mathcal L}^{{\mathcal K},{\mathcal G}}\) are described and, for suitable \({\mathcal L}\), \({\mathcal K}\) and \({\mathcal G}\), realized in higher- dimensional Euclidean space. The techniques are also applied to obtain, for certain incidence-polytopes \({\mathcal P}_ 1\) and \({\mathcal P}_ 2\), a complete or almost complete classification of the finite (universal) regular incidence-polytopes \(\{\) \({\mathcal P}_ 1,{\mathcal P}_ 2\}\), including the cases \(\{\{4,4\}_{b,c},\{4,3\}\}\), \(\{\{4,3\},\{3,6\}_{b,c}\}\) and \(\{\{4,4\}_{b,c},\{4,4\}_{b',c'}\}\).
