Logistic models for harvesting in seasonally fluctuating environments are examined with perturbation methods. The periodic solutions are studied to estimate extreme values in order to determine what harvesting rates drive the population to extinction. Then seasonal harvesting schedules are obtained which, for a given average harvesting effort, will maximize and minimize the mean population level.
