It is shown that the self-dual conformal metrics on connected sums of \({\mathbb{C}}P_ 2's\) recently produced by \textit{Y. S. Poon} [J. Differ. Geom. 24, 97-132 (1986; Zbl 0583.53054)] arise from zero scalar curvature Kähler metrics on blow-ups of \({\mathbb{C}}^ 2\) by adding a point at infinity and reversing the orientation.
