A new explicit finite free resolution of ideals generated by monomials in an R-sequence (Q1106898)

Let \(x_ 1,...,x_ n\) be an R-sequence in the commutative ring R, and let \(y_ 1,...,y_ m\) be m monomials in the \(x_ i\). There is a standard finite free resolution, the Taylor resolution, of \(R/(y_ 1,...,y_ m)\), but there is no explicit minimal free resolution. The present paper constructs an explicit resolution more efficient than the Taylor resolution.
