The following is a theorem in the Euclidean plane: Let k be a circle. For each point X on k, let \(\bar X\) be the opposite end of the diameter through X. Let A, B be two points on k such that B is not equal to \(\bar A.\) For each X on k, let \(X^ 1\) be the intersection of AX and \(B\bar X\). Then as X varies, \(X^ 1\) varies over a circle \(k^ 1\) through A and B. Moreover, the tangent at A intersects AB in a point of \(k^ 1\). The author looks at this in terms of conics and harmonic sets in the real projective plane.
