The paper deals with analytic properties of densities f for one-sided stable laws on the real line. The main result gives a description of the k-th derivative of f in terms of general formulas of Plancherel-Rotach type for Laguerre polynomials. Since f is unimodal one can discuss the behaviour of f on the left- and right-hand side of the turning point.
