This paper deals with a new fourth order cubic spline method for the second order boundary value problem \(y''=f(x,y,y')\), \(a<x<b\), \(\alpha_ 0y(a)-\alpha_ 1y'(a)=A\), \(\beta_ 0y(b)+\beta_ 1y'(b)=B.\) The authors compute the approximate solution at the nodal points by a fourth order method. These nodal values of the solution are then used in the `conditions of continuity' to obtain smoothed approximations for the second derivatives of the solution at the nodal points for construction of the cubic spline solution. The fourth order method is demonstrated computationally by two examples.
