This is an expository paper in which the standard interpretation of \(H^ 1(G,A)\) and \(H^ 2(G,A)\) is obtained from the interpretation of \(Ext^ 1_{{\mathbb{Z}}G}({\mathbb{Z}},A)\) and \(Ext^ 2_{{\mathbb{Z}}G}({\mathbb{Z}},A)\) in terms of module extensions. No references are given.
