Keller's conjecture for certain p-groups (Q1109900)

In 1930 \textit{O. H. Keller} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 163, 231-248 (1930)] conjectured that if translates of a closed n-dimensional cube tile the n- space, then in this cube system there exist two cubes having a common (n- 1)-dimensional face. In 1949 \textit{G. Hajós} [Cas. Mat. Fys. 74, 157-162 (1950; Zbl 0039.019)] gave a group theoretic equivalent of the conjecture. According to \textit{S. Szabó} [Period. Math. Hung. 17, 265-277 (1986; Zbl 0613.52006)] it is enough to prove the group theoretical form of Keller's conjecture for p-groups. In the paper under review a proof is given for special p-groups (of type \((p^ a,p^ b))\).
