Linear systems of ordinary differential equations of the form \(x'(t)=A(t)x(t),\) \(t\in {\mathbb{R}}\) with continuous and bounded square matrix A on \({\mathbb{R}}\), are considered. If the matrix A is exponential dichotomic on (-\(\infty,0]\) and [0,\(\infty)\) then for every \(\epsilon >0\) there exists a matrix \(A_{\epsilon}\) such that \(\sup_{t\in {\mathbb{R}}}\| A_{\epsilon}(t)-A(t)\| \leq \epsilon\) and for the matrix \(A_{\epsilon}\) the system \(x'(t)=A_{\epsilon}(t)x(t)\) or \(x'(t)=-A^*_{\epsilon}(t)x(t)\) is weakly regular on \({\mathbb{R}}\), where \(A^*_{\epsilon}\) denotes the transposition of the matrix \(A_{\epsilon}\).
